Terms of Service

These are the terms that apply when you use Trova - our app, our website at trovaapp.co, and anything connected to them. By using Trova you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old to use Trova. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Subscriptions and payments
Some Trova features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation are managed in your Apple account settings - we never handle your payment details directly.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.
Your content
The recipes, pantry items, and other content you add to Trova belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely so we can run the app for you - match recipes to your pantry, sync your shopping list, and so on.
How you can use Trova
Use Trova for personal, non-commercial cooking. Don't try to reverse engineer it, scrape it, resell access to it, or use it to break the law or harm others. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.
Recipes and food safety
Trova suggests recipes based on what you tell us is in your kitchen. You are responsible for checking that ingredients are safe to eat, that your cooking accommodates any allergies or dietary requirements, and that food is stored and prepared safely. Trova is a tool to help you cook - not a substitute for your own judgement.
Service availability
We work hard to keep Trova running smoothly, but we can't guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trova is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law - including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Trova after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be handled by the UK courts. Questions? Email support@trovaapp.co.
